Working Together

What kinds of businesses do you work with?

Good Drift works exclusively with fly fishing businesses, including guides, lodges, outfitters, fly shops, brands, nonprofits, and industry organizations.

Why only fly fishing?

Because we know the industry. We understand the seasons, the customers, the terminology, and the challenges that come with running a fishing business. We believe specialized support leads to better results than trying to serve everyone.

Do you work with startups or new guide services?

Absolutely. Whether you're launching a new guide business, opening a fly shop, or building a brand from scratch, we're happy to help. In fact, getting the foundation right early can save a lot of headaches down the road.

What if I'm not sure what I need?

That's completely normal. Most people come to us with a goal, not a marketing plan. We'll talk through your business, your challenges, and where it makes sense to start.

What's the first step?

Let's talk. We'll learn more about your business, discuss your goals, and see if we're a good fit to work together.

Services

What services do you offer?

We help with websites, branding, SEO, content marketing, email marketing, Google Business Profiles, and digital advertising. Some clients need help with one area, while others work with us across multiple services.

Can you help with Google Business Profile optimization?

Yes. Your Google Business Profile is one of the most important tools for local visibility. We can help optimize your profile, improve rankings, manage updates, and make sure customers can find you when they're searching for guides, shops, or services in your area.

Do you offer photography or video services?

Yes. We work with a network of talented photographers, videographers, and creators throughout the fly fishing industry. This allows us to source the right creative partner for each project while keeping costs as reasonable as possible.

Do you manage social media?

We can help with social media strategy, content planning, and identifying what platforms make the most sense for your business. Day-to-day posting and content creation are typically collaborative efforts—and in our experience, that's usually the best approach. Nobody knows your business better than you do.

Can I hire you for consulting or strategy only?

Absolutely. Not every business needs someone to do the work for them. If you're looking for guidance, feedback, planning, or help prioritizing your marketing efforts, we offer consulting and strategy engagements as well.

Websites & Marketing

Will I be able to update my website myself?

Absolutely. We believe you should own and control your website. We build sites that are easy to manage, and we're happy to show you how everything works.

How long does a website project take?

Most smaller websites can be completed in as little as five weeks, assuming feedback is provided on time and the project stays on schedule. Larger websites with more content, custom functionality, or ecommerce features may take longer.

Do I need SEO if most of my business comes from referrals?

Yes. Referrals are valuable, but they're difficult to scale. SEO helps potential customers find you when they aren't already connected to your network. Even businesses with strong referral pipelines benefit from being easier to discover online.

Pricing & Support

How much do your services cost?

Every project is different. Website projects, retainers, and consulting engagements are priced based on scope and goals. The best way to get an accurate estimate is to schedule a quick call.

Do you offer ongoing support?

Yes. Many clients work with us on an ongoing basis for website updates, SEO, content creation, and marketing support. We also offer project-based work when it makes sense.

I've worked with an agency before and had a bad experience. What's different about Good Drift?

Communication is a big part of how we work. You'll always know what we're doing, why we're doing it, and what comes next. We also focus exclusively on fly fishing businesses, which means we don't need to learn your industry from scratch.
